    About Linus

Linus is a 100% recyclable product, meaning it can be transformed into another product if it’s properly recycled. Linus is not a 100% recycled product. 80% of its composition comes from new material and 20% is from recycled PVC. After many tests, we believe this is the ideal combination to reuse production scraps and leftovers without compromising the physical integrity of Linus.

No. Micro-expanded PVC, the material from which Linus is made, requires plasticizers to become more flexible and pliable. These plasticizers often have animal origins, but in our case, we changed the composition to include only vegetable oils in our product. This way, we achieved 100% vegan material :)

Yes, Linus is washable and can come into contact with water.

However, after a day at the beach, we recommend washing it with fresh water to remove excess salt and keep it clean.

No. Linus is an anatomical product with all the necessary foot support curves.

However, it is recommended by orthopedists and specialised insole professionals as good footwear for foot health.

Linus is a monomaterial sandal, made entirely of thermoplastics, which makes it 100% recyclable. An adjustable buckle would require the use of other materials, making recycling more challenging. Another point we consider important is practicality and comfort – we want people to put on Linus and go about their day without much thought.

Due to its supportive curves that embrace and support the feet during walking, Linus has been used by people with certain orthopedic conditions and has shown positive results for their well-being.

Among the conditions where the product has proven useful are ligament laxity, an overextension of ligaments that can cause instability, pain, stiffness, and injury risks; and plantar fasciitis, inflammation affecting the plantar fascia, the tissue that starts at the heel bone and extends to the toe joints.

As previously mentioned, Linus is not orthopedic footwear, but rather anatomical. Medical supervision is essential in choosing the best footwear for each condition.

The use of Linus on trails is common among members of our community, especially those who engage in outdoor activities. They often combine wearing Linus with socks during their activities. Despite its common use, we emphasise that Linus was designed as casual footwear and is not specifically intended for sports.

Keeping your Linus clean is super easy. To keep them looking new, simply use water, mild soap, and gently scrub with a brush.

Heavy metals are chemical elements that can be toxic and harmful to human health, as well as have negative impacts on the environment. They're called "heavy" because they tend to be associated with contamination, toxicity, and ecotoxicity. They are also chemically reactive and bioaccumulative, meaning organisms contaminated by them can't easily eliminate them. Some examples include arsenic, cadmium, copper, tin, antimony, lead, bismuth, silver, mercury, molybdenum, indium, osmium, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium, chromium, nickel, and vanadium. We emphasise that Linus is free from heavy metals, as these elements are still present in the fashion industry, especially in pigment and dye compositions.

Phthalates are a group of substances that can turn rigid plastics into flexible plastics. They can be harmful to human health and are classified by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as possibly carcinogenic to humans (Group 2B).In Europe, the use of phthalates is prohibited in cosmetics, and they're considered toxic to the reproductive system. That's why we made sure to develop a product completely free from this substance.
